Our Family

I’m Anna, a wife and mother of two, living in the beautiful Green Mountain State. My husband, Andy, is a Vermont native, while I grew up in a small town in Ohio. When we found out we were expecting our first daughter, we made the move to Vermont, and we’ve been blessed to call it home for over seven years now. For those who’ve never had the chance to visit, Vermont is the definition of small-town charm—scenic backroads, a strong sense of community, and a slower pace of life where Sundays are meant for rest. It felt like a natural transition for me, coming from a small town myself. My journey into homesteading began when my oldest daughter started eating solid foods. Something in me just clicked—I felt an instinctive pull to make everything from scratch, to nourish my family with wholesome, homemade meals. That passion has only grown over the years, and now, alongside homesteading, I’ve embraced the joy of homeschooling as well. I started this blog as a way to share my experiences, connect with like-minded people, and hopefully inspire others—whether you’re on a similar path or simply curious about learning new skills. I’m so glad you’re here. Enjoy!
